The vast majority of raw materials are locally sourced to minimize transportation impact. Our cement is supplied by an Energy Star Certified factory. All products include varying amounts of recycled content, our packaging incorporates recycled or reclaimed materials. Our primary goals are to increase recycled content without reducing product quality or locally sourced content and to reduce our waste stream as close to zero as possible.

Does the color go all the way through on the artillo tile? For end pieces, after it is cut does it need to or can it be polished, or are there end pieces available to order?
Yes, the color goes all the way through the tile. Like all out product color is added to the concrete during the mixing process. If it is cut and exposed you will see aggregate. We do have end pieces(stair treads, molding coping, etc.) and can also make custom pieces for your project.

I am a tile contractor preparing an estimate calling for artillo in 16×16, 8×8, and 8×16 in a pattern. What will the joint spacing look like with this pattern? How much do they vary in size from tile to tile? Thank you.
All Artillo products are based and sold using a half inch grout joint. I will send you a sheet that has nominal measurements to help you out. Also check out our “downloads” section for patterns. Thanks

I am also interested in the nominal tile sizes — I would like to do a basketweave pattern with 4×8 tiles with 2×2 inset pieces (or 6×12 with 3×3 inset pieces). I saw the patterns and it seems this would be possible with 1/4 inch grout lines. Is this right?
Take a look at our “Download” section and find some patterns there for additional ideas. Also in the “Download” section you can see our pricelist which has nominal sizes. The Artillo Line is based on a 1/2″ grout joint, but a small grout joint is possible. Thanks for leaving a comment.
In 8×8 size artillo cafe color, which line of tile is the most durable on a concrete driveway?
All our tiles can be used for a driveway application as long as the slab they will be bonded to is free of cracks and is sound. Check out or “Downloads” section for our strength test data. We also have a line of interlocking Sand Set pavers called “California Pavers” is you do not have a slab down. Thanks for the comment.
I am installing the 12×12 Artillo tile in an interior application and have to transition to carpet tile and sheet vinyl at some interior thresholds – is there a transition material I can use to go from the Tile’s installed height of 1-1/4″ to the carpet or sheet vinyl heights in the 1/16-1/4″ range?
Where the floor transitions use a Surface Bullnose. You could also use a wood or metal threshold.
